As you know by now, there have been big changes afoot with the Edman Sisters!
After almost 60 years we closed our family furniture store when our dad, Babe, retired and we three sisters have spent the last few months reimagining our work, our company, our mission.
Like you, we read shelter magazines, follow Pinterest and Etsy, and cyber-stalk the interior design talents we most admire. As we see things that inspire us—the unique and special objects that make a home singularly special—we realize that the huge multiline furniture store is no longer really relevant to the artful, unique, soul-feeding design that we want to practice.
You may have noticed the signs in the window at 110 Oakway Road—the same ’110′ address as before, but in a newly remodeled space in the building that our grandfather built 50 years ago. We call it 110 Bungalow. It may be smaller than the Edman Furniture you knew and loved, but you will find it packed full of special, hand-picked vintage finds, unique lighting and accessories, fabrics and creations, art and gifts–all layered amongst the most comfortable and stylish furniture! The things you need and want; the things you couldn’t find before. Plus, we’ll offer whatever creative, professional help you might need to help pull it all together.
We want you to love coming to 110 Bungalow, leaving inspired by something you saw, then coming back for more. All the time.
We’ve started unpacking our new finds, and we are having a ball setting up shop! Please watch over the next few weeks as we will be posting our progress on this blog. Before you know it, 110 Bungalow will be open for business, and we hope you are among the first to see what all the buzz is about!
Thank you for your friendship over the years. You mean the world to us, and we look forward to a lifetime of creating wonderful places together.
